Summer time in the northern area of Kazakhstan is quite short, which means that power men shall managed to accomplish much for this short time.   Heat-and-power plant No.2 renovation operations have been commenced even before the end of the heating season, and now renovation work is in full swing. At that, heat-and-power plant keeps on supplying required amount of power on a daily basis, - informed "SevKazEnergo" JSC press relations service. 

At the current moment, multiple large- and small-scale, and not in its meaning, projects are being executed at the heat-and-power plant. Execution of such projects will allow for timely issue of heat-and-power generating and transmitting complex operability certificate, and also for increase in heat and power production capacity of the power plant and ensure stable operation of its equipment during the period of lowest winter temperatures.

The company also plans to execute the following: one extended overhaul, and nine projects of boiler units current repair and installation of 2nd generation titanium emulsifiers of Panarin system    at boiler units No.4, 11 allowing for flue gas purification up to 99.5%; two overhauls and five current repairs of turbine-generator sets with replacement of turbine rotor blades; modernization of boiler-and-turbine equipment with a view to energy conservation through installation of frequency-regulated drives; reconstruction of transfer crane; purchase of measurement/inspection systems; work on reconstruction of byproduct-recovery department equipment (clarifying systems, cation-exchange filter pipeline installation).  Altogether, over 200 tons of boiler unit high pressure pipelines and over 400 tons of rolled metal products will be replaced at the heat-and-power plant in the course of repair work execution.

Over 1.5 billion tenge has been allocated for repair work execution.

Thus, by means of investment of substantial funds by “SevKazEnergo” JSC into heat-and-power plant No.2 will allow for quality fulfillment of its obligations as regards supply of heat and electric power to North Kazakhstan population now and in the future.
