In the process of the “9th Forum of Inter-regional Cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation” “Central Asian Electric Power Corporation” JSC signed three Memoranda of cooperation with Russian companies of the amount of $ 356 million.

On September 18, 2012, in Pavlodar, within frames of the “9th Forum of Inter-regional Cooperation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation” the business forum took place dedicated to the topic of “Development of cooperation in the sphere of innovations and industrial cooperation between regions of the RK and of the RF”.

The business-forum was attended by representatives of ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia, heads of “Vnesheconombank” and of Eurasian Development Bank, of Trade and Industry Chambers of the Republic of Kazakhstan and of Russian Federation, as well as by representatives of business community of both countries.

Within frames of business forum “Central Asian Electric Power Corporation” JSC (hereinafter – “CAEPCO” JSC) signed memoranda of cooperation with the following Russian companies: “NOVAEM” OJSC machinery construction holding, “Urals turbine plant” CJSC, and “ELSIB” OJSC SIA. Those memoranda were concluded within frames of implementation of the investment program of “CAEPCO” JSC.

Cooperation with Russian partners will provide “CAEPCO” JSC with delivery, assembling and adjustment-commissioning of turbine and boiler equipment at power generating enterprises of its subsidiaries - “PAVLODARENERGO” JSC and “SEVKAZENERGO” JSC. The total amount of agreements is $ 356 million.

“In cooperation with Russian partners “CAEPCO” JSC plans to reconstruct 6 boiler compounds and assemble 3 new boilers at objects of the Company”. Also it is supposed to undertake assembling of 1 new turbine compound and to replace 6 turbine compounds being obsolete, with increasing the capacity of newly assembled turbines. By 2015 within frames of the investment program of the Company it is planned to increase the output of electricity and heat power in terns of the physical volume by 25%”, - noted Yerkyn Amirkhanov, the President of “CAEPCO” JSC.
