August 2016, the head of Caustic JSC Erlan Orymbekov participated in a retreat for the development of the chemical industry. The meeting was held within the framework of the working visit of Prime Minister Karim Massimov in Zhambyl region.

At the meeting, Vice Minister for Investment and Development T. Toktabaev said that as a result of the first five-year plan of industrialization production volume increased by 32% in the chemical industry. During this time, put into operation 39 new productions, created more than 4 thousand jobs. In 2015 compared with 2008, the share of domestic production of phosphate fertilizers increased from 81 to 99.9% sulfuric acid - from 91 to 97.7%, varnishes and paints - to 60.5%, nitrogen fertilizer - up to 62, 8%. 2016 first half-year figures are on the last year's level.
