On March, 26th, 2009 «Central-Asian Electric Power Corporation», JSC (“CAEPCO”, JSC), which is a subsidiary of “CAPEC”, JSC, has signed the Subscription agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on participation in the capital of “CAEPCO”, JSC by subscription to simple shares of the company. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development invested 9.2 billion of tenge by acquisition approximately of 18 % of shares of authorized share capital of the Company.
Signing the Agreement with CAEPCO was the first project of investment by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development into the capital of the private power company in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The borrowed capital is directed for realization of the Company investment program on increase of capacities of generating assets in Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions, improvement of environmental parameters of production, reconstruction and modernization of network assets with an aim of decrease in losses of heat and electric energy.
